It’s one of the most talked about things in any rural town or village: navigating the influx of city folk into their quiet, country way of life.

It’s a big topic nationwide right now as more people than ever will turn their backs on urban living for the peace and health of a homestead.

I’ve lived in both villages and major cities in my lifetime. I go between my farm and small cities almost daily. Therefore, I am breaking down how the city folk can assimilate into country living in a way that earns you warmth and respect from your rural neighbors.

I just went through this! Anytime someone seeks refuge somewhere else, that desirable place deserves your respect and willingness to adapt to that area. This goes for any person leaving their home for a better life.
