Florida is losing people due to move-outs, according to new data from the US Census Bureau, with counties like Miami, Palm Beach, and Broward all losing people in 2024.

These domestic migration losses are now creating big issues for Florida's housing market in 2025. Inventory is skyrocketing and home prices are dropping. Resulting in many homeowners who bought near the peak of the bubble now losing money on their house.

I believe these domestic migration losses are ultimately good news for prospective homebuyers in Florida, as the state should get more affordable in 2025 and beyond.
