After 5 beautiful days of sunshine at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2026 the weather turned midweek and we saw a mass exodus of people leave the rally early. We hit downtown Sturgis with our Sturgis Live Cam on Thursday, which was a cool but pleasant, dry day for riding and were stunned to see how many people had already left. We talked to some bikers and business owners who cited weather but also price gouging the very high prices at the rally as reasons why attendance is low. Local Sturgis media is reporting a dip of about 8% at the start of the rally with a much more significant drop in attendance for the 2nd half of the rally.
