Between the smart meters that my electricity provider keeps trying to install on the side of my barn, to this state's horrible approach to modernizing our grid, I have been having second thoughts about energy independence at my homestead.

I am a fan of "having it all" if it's an option.

I enjoy being tied into the grid; however, it's important to think about what you're going to do if that grid isn't able to power your farm at some point. Especially if you have animals reliant on you, I believe it's your responsibility to ensure you can provide for them no matter what.

I've been a fan of Jackery products since long before I bought my land. So it only makes sense to have them be a back-up solution to my property going forward.
