Video Description
Delta Air Lines Flight 1067, a Boeing 737-900 departing Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, suffered a serious engine failure just after takeoff — and the situation escalated quickly when flames from the engine ignited a grass fire along the runway.
The crew reported “we lost left engine” and immediately began emergency procedures. Despite visible flames and a growing fire on the airfield, the pilots maintained control, coordinated with ATC, and safely returned to land. All 179 passengers and crew exited the aircraft without injury.
