Baby Boomers now control a massive portion of America’s wealth, housing market, political leadership, and corporate power while millennials, gen z, and even gen alpha are entering adulthood during a cost of living crisis defined by rising housing prices, debt, inflation, stagnant wages, and an increasingly unstable job market. As younger generations struggle to afford homes, build careers, start families, and escape economic insecurity, baby boomers continue being at the center of debates surrounding retirement, social security, housing affordability, and the growing divide between generations. Many younger Americans feel trapped inside an economy that no longer rewards hard work the same way it once did for previous generations, while baby boomers are often accused of benefiting from an economy that no longer exists.

At the same time, many baby boomers continue holding a disproportionate amount of household wealth, home ownership, and political influence throughout the United States. While gen x, millennials, and gen z inherit rising debt, layoffs, expensive healthcare, automation, AI disruption, and a collapsing sense of long term stability, many younger Americans increasingly feel disconnected from the version of the American Dream they were promised growing up. Career mobility has slowed, affordable homes continue disappearing, and entry level jobs now require years of experience despite paying wages that often fail to keep up with inflation and the broader cost of living crisis.

As AI and artificial intelligence continue reshaping the workforce, younger generations are being forced to compete in a rapidly changing economy where stability feels increasingly impossible to achieve. The rise of automation, outsourcing, corporate consolidation, layoffs, and stagnant wages has transformed the modern career landscape, leaving many workers questioning whether the economy still functions for ordinary Americans anymore. Meanwhile, baby boomers continue dominating leadership positions across politics, corporations, and home ownership, contributing to growing frustration among younger generations who increasingly feel locked out of economic mobility.

The modern American economy is increasingly defined by wealth inequality, declining affordability, rising rent, student loans, healthcare costs, and a growing divide between those who own appreciating assets and those simply trying to survive paycheck to paycheck. Millennials and gen z are now facing some of the most competitive job markets, highest housing costs, and lowest levels of economic mobility in decades, all while many younger Americans continue being dismissed as lazy, entitled, unemployed, or unwilling to work hard enough. At the same time, baby boomers continue remaining at the center of conversations surrounding retirement, housing shortages, wealth concentration, social security, and the future of the American economy.

Video Description

America feels more chaotic than ever
The rising costs. The politics. The constant pressure. A lot of people are wondering if there’s a better way to live.

This episode took two years to make
We visited Ghana multiple times. We filtered out the scams, sat with locals, ran the numbers, and handpicked three developments we believe in. This isn’t hype — it’s real options, for real people, who are just tired of feeling stuck.

Inside the episode
• What $92K to $440K can actually get you — from beachfront homes to city condos
• Why smart Americans are putting their money overseas
• What to watch out for — the scams, red flags, and hidden costs
• Interviews with developers and expats who’ve already made the move
• Why it’s not about leaving America. It’s about having a backup plan
