I travelled to Telangana to experience something most of us never get to see – One of India’s largest floating solar power plant built by NTPC.
This wasn’t just a tour of power generating plant.
It was a journey into how electricity is actually made when land is limited and demand is rising.
I spent a day inside this floating plant to understand every layer of it:
– Walking on solar platforms that float and wobble on water
– Seeing 4 lakh solar panels generating electricity in real time
– Understanding how sunlight turns into power inside photovoltaic cells
– Exploring the control room that monitors every panel 24×7
– Learning how this plant saves water, and emissions at scale
– Witnessing NTPC take the lead towards sustainability with innovation

I have called ORES extensively. No answer. I have called the Department of Public Service. No answer until I called the news tip line. Once I got through the news tip line, the person who answered me hung up on me and told me someone would get back to me. No one has gotten back to me.
These people are completely insulated from the public and about to destroy our farmland, grasslands, and critical habitat in the name of "green" energy.
